Qualifications

  • Eight years of experience as a NCAA Division I Assistant Coach.

  • Three years of NAIA experience

  • Four years of NCAA Division 1 playing experience.

  • A teacher first and foremost with a passion for people

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills.

 

Coaching Experience:

  • Women Basketball Assistant Coach    September 2011- Current

  • Westmont College

  • Offensive Coordinator: Oversaw the creation, implementing, breaking down, and teaching of the offense, which resulted in 2 GSAC Championships and 1 National Championship.

  • Assisted in development of practice planning, drills, and film sessions

  • Recruiting Coordinator: Oversaw all facets attached to recruiting, which include but are not limited to evaluation, creation of mail out system, and coordination of official and unofficial visits.

  • Oversaw on-court development of student-athletes, specifically all perimeter players, which resulted in one Olympian, four All-Americans, and 8 All Conference award winners.

  • Responsible for 1/2 of teams scouting reports, which consisted in, but was not limited to scouting offensive and defensive tendencies, personnel, and the preparation of game plans.

  • Women Basketball Assistant Coach  July 2009 –2011

  • University of California, Santa Barbara

  • Assisted in the implementation, breaking down, and teaching of the offense.

  • Assisted in the development of practice planning, drills, and presentation of film sessions.

  • Oversaw on-court development of student-athletes, specifically all perimeter players, which resulted in one WNBA player, one First Team All-Conference, three Second Team All-Conference, two Honorable Mention, and two All-Freshman Team members.

  • Responsible for more than 1/3 of teams scouting reports, which consisted in, but was not limited to scouting offensive and defensive tendencies, personnel, and the preparation of game plans.

  • Assisted in all aspects of organizing and administering off-campus evaluations, contacts, and official and unofficial visits.

  • Director of all team and elite camps.

  • Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach  June 2005 –2008

  • University of Oregon

  • Assisted in all aspects of organizing and administering off-campus evaluations, contacts, official and unofficial visits, and oversaw recruiting mail out system, which resulted in signing 2007’s “31st Best Recruiting Class” according to Blue Star Index.

  • Responsible for 1/3 of teams scouting reports which consisted of, but was not limited to scouting offensive and defensive schemes and tendencies, personnel, and the preparation of game plans.

  • Focused on in-game offensive and defensive adjustments and strategies.  

  • Responsible for guard development, specifically Point Guards, which resulted in two All-Pac 10 Freshman Team Honorable Mention Award Winners. Coached two WNBA Guards, two Canadian National Team Members, and one New Zealand National Team Member.

  • Served as programs Academic, Eligibility, and Compliance Liaison

  • Women Basketball Assistant Coach    June 2002 – April 2005

  • University of California, Irvine 

  • Responsible for guard development, resulting in four different All Big West Conference players in three seasons. 

  • Assisted in developing practice plans.

  • Assisted in all aspects of off-campus evaluations, contacts, official visits, unofficial visit, and oversaw recruiting mail outs.

  • Scouted offensive and defensive schemes and tendencies; and assisted in preparing game plans.  Oversaw all aspects of film exchange.

  • Focused on in-game offensive and defensive strategies and adjustments.

  • Handled all aspects of team travel, which included managing and distributing per diem, organizing hotel and airport check in, and scheduling practice times.

  • Assistant Camp Director for all summer and team camp.  Organized quarterly basketball clinics, increasing participation and revenue by over 60%.

 

NCAA Division I Playing Experience:

  • University of the Pacific   1998 - 2002

  • Big West Conference and UOP career-record holder for three-pointers made and career free-throw percentage.

  • 1,652 Career Points (3rd All-time in UOP history, 14th in Big West Conference).

  • 4th in all-time assists and 10th in all-time steals record for UOP.

  • All American - 2002 National Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year.

  • Two-time, First-Team All Big-West Conference. Two-time, Second-Team 

  • All Big-West Conference. Big West Conference Freshman of the Year. 

  • Big West All-Academic Scholar Athlete for three years.

  • Inducted into City of Stockton Hall of Fame, November 2007
